Over the last decade, Portugal. The Man have established themselves as one of rock's most valuable assets and are recognised as much for their music as for their historic reputation. Originally from Alaska and based in Portland, they reached new heights in 2017 with the release of their album, Woodstock, certified Platinum by the RIAA. The album was marked by the surprise success of the single, “Feel It Still”, which earned the group numerous awards - including a GRAMMY in the category of “Best Pop Duo/Group Performance”, a 7x Platinum certification by the RIAA. In 2023, they released Chris Black Changed My Life, an album produced by Jeff Bhasker.
Alongside the brilliance of their many musical achievements is the group's long-standing passion for social justice. Throughout their career, Portugal. The Man have shown how it is possible to reconcile art and activism in a profound and meaningful way. This ultimately inspired them to officially launch the PTM Foundation in 2020, a foundation focused on universal issues related to human rights, community health and the environment, with an emphasis on causes that directly affect indigenous peoples.
