Although no one saw Mk.Gee coming, we can't deny how his monumental talent has marked the contemporary music scene. Born Michael Todd Gordon, or as we better know him Mk.Gee, he is a native of the East Coast and became interested in music when he was just 6 years old. He began taking piano lessons with a “really fantastic classical Russian teacher”, but eventually switched to guitar at the age of 11. After deepening his love of music, Mk.gee went to California to pursue his dream of becoming a professional guitarist and began recording his music there. In 2018, he released his debut album, Pronounced McGee, and later that year the EP, “Fool”. Its foundations rely on clean production and familiar patterns - a sound about to find its strength. Mk.Gee's last full-length project was 2024's Two Stars & The Dream Police, which mixes 1980’s pop, rock and R&B with idiosyncratic production, producing strange, dark songs full of anxiety and longing.
