Memória de Peixe is a musical project created by Miguel Nicolau in 2011, focused on songs with 8 seconds guitar loops and drums. Their debut album, Memória de Peixe, released in 2012, was considered one of the best Portuguese albums of the year, reaching the top of the national radio charts. In 2016, they released Himiko Cloud with Marco Franco on drums, receiving good international reviews and representing Portugal at Eurosonic 2017. The group is known for its live performances, mixing jazz/rock with pop sensibility. They are currently preparing the release of their third album with a new line-up consisting of Miguel Nicolau, Pedro Melo Alves and Filipe Louro.
