Gurriers use their position in the community to respond to the malaise of the modern age with a hard-hitting album - Come And See. In this project, the band tackles a wide range of themes, such as Dublin's marginalized youth, the experience of immigrant friends, the rise of the far right, desensitization in the face of violence, among others.
Come And See is no ordinary debut, but rather a bold statement of intent, full of songs that explore how modern narcissism is fueled by obsession with online personas, as we hear in “Des Goblin”. The band also delves into the disillusionment of contemporary youth in “Dipping Out” and offers ironic anthems lamenting the advance of the far right, as we heard in “Approachable”.
