Formed during lockdown, this quintet from South London built their reputation on word of mouth. Mosh pits are quite common in their performances and the drummer, Johnny “Doghead” Hutchinson, plays in a latex mask. Their music is described as dance, punk, klezmer and basically everything else you can think of, in fact, it's a bit difficult to place yourself when talking about Fat Dog, from elements of Nine Inch Nails to Depeche Mode, all crossed with European dance music.
For their debut album, WOOF., they aimed to create anti-intellectual music, written to be interpreted by the body rather than the mind, and although they succeeded, it's hard not to get mentally involved when the music is so evocative and imaginative.
