Gabriela Jimeno Caldas, known professionally as Ela Minus, is a Colombian singer, songwriter, multi-instrumentalist and producer. She moved to Boston to attend Berklee College of Music, where she graduated with a double major and moved to Brooklyn, NY. She is a one-woman electronic orchestra that follows a strong desire to maintain the essence of improvisation in both recorded and live music, using no laptops at any stage of her production or live performances. Her love of synthesisers has evolved to become the basis of her music production, she is a solo act and performs live using only hardware machines and her voice.
