Cassete Pirata was born in 2016 by five friends united by jazz, with a desire to write and discover new songs in portuguese, in a return to the references, landscapes and sounds we all have in common. Produced by Luís Nunes, the band brings together João Firmino, António Quintino, João Pinheiro, Margarida Campelo and Joana Espadinha. Over time they have built up a strong legion of fans, and after the success of the album A Semente (2021), in 2024 they released A Família, a project that tells many stories, with passionate ballads and energetic singles. Considered a real breath of fresh air on the Portuguese indie rock scene, Cassete Pirata find their home on stage.
