Cass McCombs, from Concord, California, is a nomadic storyteller whose art moves between words, music and dreams. He began his career in the early 2000s with the album, A (2003), and by 2025 he had released 13 albums, the most recent being Seed Cake On Leap Year (2024). This new work marks a more direct and raw approach to their songs, with a special balance between compassion and experimentation, always seeking a more consistent statement. The rock in his songs is now more fervent, the ballads more engaging and his musical explorations more confident, with jazz and Latin influences integrated in a surprising way. Cass McCombs explores his roles with freedom, creating a fluid sound with a number of special guests.
