Originally from London, bar italia stand out on the music scene for their authenticity and innovative sound. To all intents and purposes, and given the haze that surrounds them, they could be another of Dean Blunt's creations, although some bold photographs point to a trio of two boys and a girl. The voices we hear seem to confirm exactly that, however, all this speculation is so in tune with the label's unclear intention that trying to find a complete meaning in all this is a bit pointless, but okay, let's leave it at that. Narcotic, lo-fi indie pop, lots of bedroom sounding and seen through a bloodshot-eyed slacker perspective. A sequence of short songs where dusty lysergic beats anchor guitar melodies inherited from the British indie school and disenchanted vocals with a natural streak to invoke memorable hooks from the mist.
