... And You Will Know Us By The Trail of Dead formed in late 1994, when longtime friends Jason Reece and Conrad Keely moved to Austin and started playing together, later turning the duo into a quartet. After becoming known in the indie circuits for their anarchic concerts, they debuted with the first record in 1998. The first self-titled work was followed by "Madonna" in 1999, and the formidable "Source Tags & Codes", edited 15 ago years. In the following years, the band released "World's Apart" and "So Divided", this last being the result of the frustration of almost dismantling the group after a sad number of sales. "Century of Self" appeared in 2009 before "Tao of the Dead," one of the band's most conceptual works with 16 songs divided into two long tracks, each played on a specific musical note. In the summer of 2012, the band went to Germany to record the eighth album of originals, "Lost Songs", known as one of the most political of the group. In 2014, they returned to Texas and recorded "IX" with piano touches and in which they again used a section of strings. A rock history with more than 20 years to attend the 26th edition of Vodafone Paredes de Coura.
